San Antonio, the second-largest city in Texas, attracts more tourists than Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston or Austin, according to the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau. That's perfectly understandable, given the city's wealth of attractions, including the historic Alamo and the famed River Walk, a labyrinth of walkways, lined with shops, hotels and restaurants, on either side of the San Antonio River as its winds and twists its way below street level through downtown. Riverboats cruise the river and offer tourists a great way to see one of San Antonio's two signature attractions.
