Minnesota includes several rivers on which riverboat tours are available. The Minneapolis-St. Paul area makes an ideal starting point for cruises on the Mississippi or the Minnesota rivers that flow through the area. Cruises down the St. Croix River, a tributary of the Mississippi River easily reached from Taylors Falls or Stillwater, offer opportunities to look for wildlife and birds on the sandstone bluffs lining the river.
